My main tasks are to assist in the running of BirdTrack, as well as to promote the system through social media and writing monthly e-newsletters.

Qualifications

Diploma in Environmental Protection, IT Sligo, 2001 - 2004
Degree in Environmental Science and Technology, IT Sligo, 2004 - 2006

Research Interests/Responsibilities

My main research responsibilities lie in maintaining the BirdTrack database, as well as in finding patterns in reports to BirdTrack that can effectively promote BirdTrack through social media. Research interests include monitoring changes in migration timing and distribution.

Other information

Organising and leading bird tours throughout Europe since 2007.

Warden at Roseate and Little Tern colonies on the east coast of Ireland from 2007 to 2010.

Selected publications

Various articles in the quarterly BirdWatch Ireland membership magazine “Wings”, including the “Rare Birds in Ireland” column since 2012.
