Willow Warbler, and BirdTrack at Birdfair

Whilst the 2009 Breeding Bird Survey report reveals an 8% decline in the UK Willow Warbler population from 1995 – 2008, anecdotal information received this year suggests that 2010 has been a good year for the species. The BirdTrack Willow Warbler reporting rate supports this, reflecting a higher proportion of Willow Warbler records on complete lists in the past 2 weeks compared to late summer 2008 and 2009.
