Join BTO Youth for a springtime bird walk through Castletown, guided by Youth Representative Alex.
Join BTO Youth Representative Alex for a springtime bird walk through Castletown, located on the Isle of Man. Attendees will learn more about local birds and also visit the harbour, where you can spot various seabird species. It is also an opportunity to attend a fun mid afternoon activity, and meet some like-minded young people.
The walk is approx. 4.5km (estimated 2 hours), with chances to stop and spot birds. There are several public toilets on route and places to grab a warm drink / lunch. Part of the route is along a stone path, which may be challenging for wheelchair users. The route is close to public transport points.
This event is run with the support of BTO.
Please note that this event is free to attend and open to 14–25-year-olds. Participants under 18 will need to fill in a consent form with their parent(s)/carer(s) and send this to BTO before the event.
We understand that travel can sometimes be a barrier to access events. If this is a potential barrier for you, please email youth [at] bto.org and we will see what we can do to help.
