Owls (Wildlife Monographs)

This stunning photography book showcases northern Europe’s 12 species of owl through the lenses of two of the world’s finest wildlife photographers. David Tipling and Jari Peltomäki have used great field skill and creativity to produce a collection of striking images in some of Europe’s most beautiful and wild locations. The book begins with some excellent general information on owl biology and behaviour before looking at the fascinating associations between owls and people. Each species is then described in detail. Throughout the book the material is supplemented by the authors’ own observations and accounts from the field, bringing into perspective the dedication required to photograph these subjects in, often, remote and difficult terrain. Both authors give a passionate account of their work, providing inspirational reading for any budding wildlife photographer or nature enthusiast.
