Fresh Water Birds of Ireland

A photographic guide which is much more than just an identification book. A large introductory section looks at habitats, history of humans and the freshwater birds, biology of water birds and a look at some of the scientific studies being carried out on these species with Ireland. The book then moves on to look at each species in turn, with many photographs (all taken by Mark Carmody) of each and a huge amount of information about the species status, biology, conservation and threats. A great book for someone wanting to find out more about the water birds of Ireland.
