A Field Guide to the Wildlife of South Georgia
Wildlife holiday trips to Antarctica are increasingly popular. Almost all of these start, or at least visit, South Georgia on the way south and this great little book will cover all of the wildlife you are likely to see. Not surprisingly most of the species covered are birds, but mammals, insects and plants are also featured. Colour photo montages are used for identification and, as well as acting as a one-stop-shop ID guide, the book also raises awareness of just how fragile the ecosystems are on these isolated and storm-battered islands.
