Are you a birdwatcher and would like to help us better understand how Welsh bird populations are faring?
Join Gethin Jenkins-Jones for a morning session to find out more about the BTO’s Breeding Bird Survey (BBS) and how you could take part in it. Run annually since 1994, BBS is a very important survey, helping to inform conservation decisions across the UK. Every count made by our volunteer community is highly valuable, helping us track changes in our bird populations. Whether you’re thinking of taking part in the survey for the first time or an existing volunteer who’d like a refresher, be sure to join us at this welcoming and supportive session.
Please note this isn’t a bird identification session. It is aimed at volunteers who are relatively confident in bird ID by sight, song and call.
The event will take place at Dolforwyn Wood Nature Reserve between 9:00 and 11:30am.
Please bring your own binoculars and notebook, and make sure to wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
Further information about the meeting place and nearby parking and toilet facilities will be emailed to registered participants.
We look forward to seeing you there!
