Find out more about the Wetland Bird Survey and how you can take part. There will be a combination of an indoor element then some time outside putting some techniques into practice. This event is run as part of Islay's Winter Birdlife Festival.

Join BTO Scotland staff member Steve Willis to hear more about the Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS). We'll cover the basics of the suvrey and find out in more detal how to find a vacant site and get involved! Counting techniques will be introduced and we'll put these into practise in an indoor setting and then again outside.

The event will take place at Islay Gaelic Centre, overlooking Loch Indaal.    

Please bring your own binoculars and your favoured bird guide. If you have access to one please bring a telescope, but we'll have at least one with us for general use.
