In a field course designed specifically for a Northern Ireland audience, learn how to safely find and monitor birds' nests for the Nest Record Scheme, by following the NRS Code of Conduct.

Nest recording is an incredibly rewarding way to connect with your local birds. By following the progress of nests, you can gather vital information on breeding success and productivity. Stephen Hewitt, nest finding expert and BTO Regional Representative for Armagh, will show you how to find and monitor nests in this field workshop.

Before attending this event you MUST also sign up for the Nest Record Scheme through your MyBTO account. If you have any queries about this, please contact sjameshewitt [at] hotmail.com (sjameshewitt [at] hotmail.com).

[This course has been subsidised by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, allowing us to offer it to participants in Northern Ireland free of charge!]

If you're not a resident of Northern Ireland, you might prefer to attend a different BTO training course.

This course is not designed for professional ecological consultants.
