An online introduction to the Northern Ireland Seabird Report 2021, which details the results of seabird surveying and monitoring around the Northern Irish coast.

This online event is for BTO supporters and seabird enthusiasts in Northern Ireland, in lieu of our usual BTO NI annual event at Bangor Castle. Talks to include:

  • Katherine Booth Jones, Senior Research Ecologist BTO Northern Ireland: Census of breeding cliff-nesting seabird species of Rathlin and North Antrim
  • Gillian Gilbert, RSPB Principle Conservation Scientist, Northern Ireland: Restoring Rathlin - a LIFE Raft for island seabirds
  • Jacob Davies, Research Ecologist, BTO Scotland: Projected future abundance of seabirds in Northern Ireland under climate change

This event has been funded by NIEA, meaning we can provide it FREE of charge.

The launch will be held on the Zoom platform and a joining link will be emailed out to participants during the week before the launch.
