Join BTO Youth's London team for a Christmas birding day out around Rainham Marshes.

Expect the usual favourites such as Marsh Harriers and Bearded Tits, plus the chance of some winter visitors such as Short-eared Owl and Water Pipit.

We're meeting at 09:30 at RSPB Rainham visitor entrance and finishing around 16:00.

Please be aware the pathways can be very wet at this time of year, so good walking boots will be needed but it shouldn't be too muddy. Please bring lunch or, alternatively, money to buy some from the cafe.

Any questions or to get in touch with the organisers please email youth [at] bto.org

Please note that this event is open to 12–25-year-olds only. Participants under 18 will need to fill in a consent form with their parent(s)/carer(s) and send this to BTO before the event.

BTO Youth Walks at Rainham Marshes are organised in collaboration with the Cameron Bespoka Trust. The Cameron Bespolka Trust is a charity that has been set up in Cameron's memory to inspire young people to love and appreciate animals, in particular birds, nature, and our environment. By experiencing the outdoors first hand, teenagers can connect with nature and make a difference to our planet.
