Join BTO Youth at Lodmoor RSPB reserve for a nature walk guided by young experts Hannah Westhenry and Samuel Levy.

Are you a teenager or young adult with a desire to get outside? Are you a keen naturalist or someone who just want to get out and learn more about what’s around them?

On Sunday 14th of November at Lodmoor RSPB reserve, the British Trust of Ornithology Dorset Youth Reps are running an event just for you. We will be guiding you around the reserve, showing you species from birds to plants, that you may have never known were ever there on your back doorstep. We’ll help you identify migrating species who have travelled thousands of miles to settle down in Weymouth, to the autumnal hedgerow plants that you may walk past every day but never knew the name of, or the ways they can be used in everyday life, from medicine to beauty.

Anyone aged between 15–25 is welcome. Our meeting place will the Beach car park, next to Weymouth Recycling Centre. Bring binoculars if you own any and feel free to bring cameras to capture some wildlife. Afterwards there is an option to gather together socially for a coffee or snack at the Oasis cafe.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Please note that this event is open to 15–25-year-olds only. Participants under 18 will need to fill in a consent form with their parent(s)/carer(s) and send this to BTO before the event.
