Top 100 Birding Sites of the World
Books such as this always appeal, and look great arranged artfully on your coffee-table, but sometimes you have to wonder what their purpose is! Having said that it excels as a record of some of the wonderful places around the world for birds and other wildlife – especially when we are used to hearing doom and gloom. Perhaps it can even be used as a guide of places to put on your wish-list to visit! The photographs are crucial to this type of book, and most are exceptional – and some down-right funny. There are, however, a few that are a bit suspect, either blurred or looking as if they have been over ‘photo-shopped’, but this could be production problems – a shame, however, in such a book.
