New Naturalist: Marches

The New Naturalists never fail to delight. Marches is the latest title in this ground-breaking series (number 118, in fact) and is the one of a small number to deal with a regional area of outstanding natural beauty. The Marches is the area of border country between Wales and England, comprising farmland, hills, moorland and several large towns and cities, such as Crewe and Shrewsbury. The area is well-wooded with mosses and meres and this book provides a fascinating look at the countryside and wildlife of the area.
