Barn Owl

There are many books on Barn Owls out there, perhaps more than for any other single British species, so why should you buy this one? Firstly, it is beautifully illustrated will numerous colour photographs which should satisfy even the most demanding ‘Tytophile’, each showing a different aspect of the owls’ lives and behaviours. Secondly, the writing is far from cursory. David Chandler presents the facts in a very thorough yet readable style and looks at Barn Owls across their entire world range, rather than concentrating solely on the UK’s birds. An excellent and attractive distillation of what is known about this iconic species.
