Having spent a bit of time around the Hayling Island area in Hampshire, Sherwood is now in northern France and is moving around pockets of woodland on the banks of the Seine, close to Gaillon.

Sherwood is poised to cross the English Channel. During the evening of 12 June, we received locations from his tag that showed he had left Sherwood Forest and was on the south coast, just north of Hayling Island. The next time we hear from him he may well be our fifth Cuckoo in France.

Tagged in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, Sherwood is now on the south coast at Chichester Harbour, 269km (167 miles) south of his tagging site. He might not stay here long but we won't hear from his tag again until Thursday afternoon - will he have crossed the English Channel?

Since being tagged on 18 May, Sherwood has remained in the forest of his name, initially in the area south of Budby. Recent locations from his tag show that he is still in this general area.
