Are you a wildlife enthusiast and would like to enhance your bird song and call ID skills for the upcoming spring?

Join Gethin Jenkins-Jones in this relaxed and friendly afternoon session practising identifying birds by song and call. During this small-group event we will run structured activities while enjoying watching and listening to the birds in both woodland and open habitats, and there will be plenty of time to ask questions and pick up ID tips throughout.

Birds have long been a part of Welsh culture, inspiring songs, poems and literature and, likewise, we hope that in this session they’ll inspire you, and transform your time outdoors enjoying nature this spring.

This event will take place at Dolforwyn Wood Nature Reserve between 13:00 and 15:00

Please bring your own binoculars (though we do have spares) and a notebook, and make sure to wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.

Further information about the meeting place and nearby parking and toilet facilities will be emailed to registered participants.

We need to charge a small amount (£10) for these bird ID session to help cover our costs. We have tried to keep the cost as low as possible as we have relatively few volunteers in Wales and we really hope to encourage more people to attend, as an investment in future bird monitoring capacity.

We look forward to seeing you there!
