A Naturalist's Guide to the Birds of Sri Lanka

This is a photographic guide to the majority of the more common birds of Sri Lanka (about 280 of the 459 recorded), i.e. those most likely to be seen by casual birdwatchers and including all 34 endemics.  The usual introductory pages are followed by the species accounts at two per page.  Normally these are one photograph with the text around it.  It is completed by a full checklist and index.

As with other similar guides the dedicated birdwatcher will need a book which contains all possible species, but this will be perfectly adequate as a place to start.
