Call of the Eagle

A very detailed book, spanning the 30 years that the author spent with the Lakeland Golden Eagles. The first six years he spent as the RSPB warden, these were the most successful breeding seasons the English eagles had in decades. From that high he has watched as the population has dwindled from two breeding pairs to the lone male that currently haunts the Lakes. Dave spent many hundreds of hours patiently watching the eagles, and recording every detail of their behaviour and lives, and these details are reproduced here in the book. A fascinating insight into the lives of eagles on the edge. With only a very few photos to give the flavour of the eagle’s domain, this is very much a book for the enthusiast.
