Join Gethin in this small-group event to put your ID skills into conservation action. We'll begin with an overview of identification features of particular waterbirds, before showing you how you can get involved with our Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS), which we’ll do together during the session.

WeBS is an incredibly valuable survey, and is fun, rewarding and relatively straightforward. We hope this will be a great opportunity to increase your confidence in a supportive environment, plus meet some like-minded people and enjoy learning about birds.

We do recommend you bring your own binoculars if you have a pair (though we do have spares for you to borrow, so they are not essential)!

  • Refreshments will be provided.
  • Toilets are available at the site.
  • Please bring appropriate clothing for this fully outdoors event.
