This event comprises a walk and collage workshop at the Manx BirdLife Point of Ayre National Reserve. The first hour of the event will consist of a 2km walk around the reserve, spotting and identifying the various birds, plants, and insects. Followed by a two-hour art workshop, using collage to create artwork of the birds and nature seen on the walk.
The reserve has gently undulating terrain (sand, gravel and grass trails) and is not suitable for wheelchairs. It is recommended to use public toilets in Bride, with the potential of the reserve’s compositing toilet not being available.
The event is free to attend and open to 16-25-year-olds. We aim to create a welcoming, supportive space where participants can connect, learn and enjoy nature without pressure or judgement. We’re happy to adjust activities to accommodate your accessibility needs - please let us know if anything specific is required in advance.
This event is run with the support of BTO and Manx BirdLife. If you have any questions, please email youth@bto.org.
Please note: After registering, participants under 18 will need to complete and sign a consent form with their parent(s)/guardian(s). Completed forms will need to be sent to youth@bto.org before the event.
