Name that tune! Three short, interactive online workshops on how to identify common garden birds by song. You don’t need to know anything about birds to join, these sessions are aimed at beginners.

Event Information

The dawn chorus is one of nature’s greatest gifts. Tuning into bird song will transform your time outdoors. During this series of interactive online workshops, Sorrel from the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) will help you learn how to identify common garden birds by sound, with lots of useful and entertaining memory aids. All levels of interest are welcome, these workshops will be aimed at beginners.

The three sessions will take place on the following dates, and cover a handful of different species each.

  • Wednesday 22nd March 19:30-20:30
  • Thursday 30th March 19:30-20:30
  • Wednesday 5th April 19:30-20:30

Zoom joining instructions will be emailed the day before each session. The sessions will be recorded, so don't worry if you can't make all three.

This event is part of BTO's Ripple NI Project, which is generously funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
