Role
Aaron supports the BTO/JNCC Seabird Monitoring Programme (SMP) Organiser with national coordination of the survey. Responsibilities include maintaining the SMP database, promoting the survey via social media and email communications, participant engagement and data submission training, and developing SMP Online.
Interests and responsibilities
Aaron is particularly interested in Terns and Gulls, having previously been a warden on Little Tern, Arctic Tern, and Common Tern colonies and a volunteer at a Sandwich Tern, Black-headed Gull, and Mediterranean Gull colony. His undergraduate dissertation focused on the temporal and spatial aspects of Little Tern colony formation, a particular area of interest.
