Join fellow ringers from across the southwest and Wales for a day of talks and practical sessions, hosted and supported by WWT at their Slimbridge Wetland Centre.

Talks will include updates on Great White Egrets on the Somerset Levels, seabirds on Flat Holm and Denny Island, Nightjars, Stonechats in the New Forest, Lundy House Sparrows and Hawfinches, along with student presentations on Dippers and Herring Gulls.

There will also be more practical sessions of duck-trapping and closing big rings and access to the Slimbridge grounds over lunch to socialise.

We can also provide the training opportunity for five people as an add-on to the conference, with more details to follow on this after registration. This will be an evening of further training on waterfowl processing, followed by a day operating the swan pipe, duck decoy and other traps on site.

There will be an application process for this added day, with places going to those who have a site where they can catch wildfowl but don't yet have the experience or training.
