“What’s that bird calling in the hedge?” “Is that a Dunnock or a Blackcap singing?” - If these are much like questions you have asked yourself previously, then we are here to help!
In this session at the wonderful Irchester Country Park, we will focus on practising identifying birds by song and call. Learn from our experienced BTO team of staff and volunteers, build your confidence and refresh your bird ID skills in a relaxed, friendly setting, to help you make your birdwatching count for conservation.
This session is specifically designed for people that would like to take part in BTO coordinated surveys in the future, but don’t feel that they have the required bird identification skills to do so quite yet. Advanced booking essential. £10 per person. This session is limited to 14 participants. If cost is a barrier for you, please let us know.
We hope to encounter a variety of garden and woodland birds to help you hone your skills. So, if you’d like to make the most of birding in the fast-approaching spring season and to develop a new superpower of identifying birds by sound, then this is the session for you!
Please note that there is a small fee of £3.50 for parking in the Irchester Country Park main car park (which closes at 5pm).
