This 2-hour online session will use worked examples and live exercises to highlight and practice applying the key considerations for determining the territories of breeding birds from observations mapped in the field. Participants will be able to explore different scenarios, ask questions and bring examples from their own experience. There will also be opportunity to discuss the role of software in cluster analysis, and the limitations of existing analytical tools.

The session will take place on Zoom and there will be a short break in the middle. All participants will receive a recording of the online sessions and accompanying presenter notes, and there will be opportunity to ask follow-up questions that arise during the forthcoming breeding season.
