List of berry-producing plants

The following berry-producing plants have been associated with seed dispersal by birds within the ornithological literature. We hope to provide additional information on the extent to which different plants are used by particular bird species. The typical status of each plant is shown, although it is worth noting that many 'native' species may be deliberately introduced into a garden setting. Additional information is provided for some species - click on the linked species name - notably those which formed a core component of the Birds and Garden Berries Study. Information from external sources - including maps - can be found by clicking on the Scientific name.
