Charlotte Griffiths, Project Lead for BTO's groundbreaking new project to survey raptors in Wales, Cudyll Cymru, hosts a talk on identifying local raptors and how to get involved in the project. 

Learn more about the behaviour and ecology of Buzzard, Kestrel, Red Kite, Raven and Sparrowhawk, the key features used in their ID and how you can help monitor these iconic birds in your patch of Wales.

 

The event will comprise of 1.20hr for the presentation, starting at 11am followed by 1.20hr for a raptor walk across the reserve. The walk will be weather dependent, meaning the event may finish earlier than scheduled. 

Please be aware that currently the heating is not working in the building and the reserve may be wet and muddy, so wearing suitable warm clothing is recommended. 

Tea and coffee facilities are available, but please bring your own snacks or light lunch. 

 

The event will take place at Radnorshire Wildlife Trust's flagship nature reserve, Gilfach. The site is located off the A470 road, between Rhayader to Llangurig. What3Words: ///betrayed.golf.sunflower
