Write a free simple Will with one of our trusted partners

There is no obligation to leave a gift to BTO with either of the two free Will offers from Octopus Legacy and the National Free Wills Network, but many people choose to do so as a way of supporting a cause that has been important to them during their lifetime.

By choosing to leave a gift in your Will to BTO, you’ll remain at the heart of our vital work as we strive to maximise our impact and secure a better future for birds, nature and people for years to come.

We’re glad to have got our Wills updated and our wishes clarified. It’s good for us to think we will be supporting organisations we greatly value, including the BTO, into the future.

The National Free Wills Network

BTO has a limited number of free Wills available via the National Free Wills Network. If you would prefer to make a simple Will using a local solicitor via a face-to-face appointment, please contact Samantha Rider on legacies@bto.org to find out if you are eligible for this offer.

The Network has just over 1,000 trusted solicitors across the UK offering free Will-writing services to charities like us. The Network conforms to regulations of The Law Society of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as the Fundraising Regulator and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. You can find out more about the National Free Wills Network on their website.

Please note

BTO does not recommend any particular provider and there are other Will-writing providers available. We would encourage you to undertake your own research and select the best provider for your needs. The Law Society database of solicitors is available online.
