Research Ecologist
Role and responsibilities
Charlotte is a Research Ecologist in the Terrestrial Ecology team, principally working on the responses of birds to agri-environment schemes.
Interests
As part of the Terrestrial Ecology team, Charlotte uses BTO citizen science data for a range of projects. These include exploring multi-taxa responses to agri-environment scheme measures throughout England, and analysing the effect of culling programmes on terrestrial birds.
Charlotte has an interest in infectious disease epidemiology, and the response of species to our changing climate. She has a strong mathematical background, having completed a Master’s degree in pure mathematics and a PhD in theoretical modelling of host-parasite relationships.
