Migration for all at Migfest 2017

14 Aug 2017 Wryneck by Chris Upson

Now in its fifth year, the Spurn Migration Festival will take place 8–10 September at one of the top migration sites in Britain and Ireland. Rarities such as American Golden Plover and Kentish Plover have been seen in previous years, and early September is a good time for the likes of Wryneck and Barred Warbler.

Several organised walks are planned to search for migrants throughout the course of each day. For something different, there are also a variety of talks by some fascinating speakers. Tickets for the event are available through the Migfest website.
