Logging your Odonata sightings

05 May 2017 Broad-bodied Chaser by Mike and Brenda Gough

While the first adult dragonflies and damselflies (Odonata) will have been on the wing since early April, May and June mark a distinct jump in activity. You can log your Odonata sightings on BirdTrack, with records passed on to the British Dragonfly Society. You can do this by clicking on the 'Dragonfly' tab at the top of the species list or casual records form online.

Optionally, you can add counts for the various life stages of the species you observed. You can now view your Odonata records through the global portal, using the 'Explore my records' tool under 'Explore data'.
