Patchwork Challenge and BirdTrack

18 Dec 2015 Patchwork Challenge

The Patchwork Challenge (PWC) was launched in 2013 as a way to encourage birders to focus on their local areas. The idea struck a chord and several hundred birders have taken part since its launch. This year PWC patches covered the length and breadth of Britain and Ireland.

If you are not already doing so, why not take part in 2016? All you need is a site not exceeding 3 square kilometres that you regularly visit. BirdTrack is the ideal way to keep tabs on what you have recorded on your patch. PWC incentivises patch watchers to log their sightings in BirdTrack by sharing the number of observations and complete lists collected by participants.
