The specially protected species in Northern Ireland are detailed in the Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order, 1985 (Amended 1995).
The BTO is not involved in the issue of disturbance licences in Northern Ireland.
Licenses are issued directly by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Northern Ireland.
