Goldfinches are sociable birds that often drop into gardens in flocks. Dave Pankhurst, East Sussex, had a treat, however, when almost all of the 22 perches of these two feeders in his garden hosted one of these wonderful birds simultaneously - a real golden moment! Goldfinches are particularly partial to sunflower hearts and nyjer seed in gardens. With their numbers continuing to boom, could this be a scene in your garden sometime soon?
