Q. Do SPINDLE berries count as ripe when they change colour to pink or when they split open to shed seeds?
A. When they change colour to pink.

Q. Some of my berry-producing shrubs were cleared of berries by the birds before I started the survey. How should I record these?
A.
Please ignore any bushes or shrubs that were cleared of berries.

Q. Is it just thrushes that you want to know about or all berry-eating birds?
A.
Although part I of the survey just covered thrushes, the other two components covered ALL birds.
