Additional information

One of our most popular venues, and with good reason, this Napoleonic fort overlooks Milford Haven and is graced with seabirds, Choughs, Ravens and other typical birds of the Welsh Coast. Simply a fantastic place to spend a weekend! Our weekend residential bird ID course is led by renowned ornithologist and accomplished tutor Steve Piotrowski. Formal taught sessions help reinforce the learning, and participants are encouraged to learn from each other as well. The course will help you build confidence identifying common migratory and resident species, and there will be several outdoor sessions, providing plenty of opportunities to put what you have learnt into practice. Weather permitting, there will be a trip to Skomer Island for seabirds.
