We'll be meeting at CS Lewis Square for a morning walk to enjoy, observe, and learn to identify the birds that inhabit the Connswater Greenway and Victoria Park in East Belfast.

Event Information

Victoria Park and the Connswater Greenway are fantastic places to see birds and other wildlife right on our doorstep here in East Belfast. This area supports many waders and waterbirds at low tide. Join us for a relaxed morning birdwatching walk along the greenway and around the park, to learn and practise bird identification and enjoy the wonders of winter wildlife. This event is suited to both those new to birding and those more experienced. Binoculars and bird guides will be provided.

Travel: CS Lewis Square is situated on the G1 Glider and bus service 3 lines (Connswater stop), see the Translink website for more details.

Accessibility: This event is accessible to disabled people - the paths along the Connswater Greenway and around Victoria Park are wide, tarmacked and flat. Toilets: There is a pay toilet, including an accessible toilet, in Victoria Park.

What to bring: Bring warm and waterproof clothes, trainers or similar footwear will be suitable for the tarmac and short grass paths. Bring binoculars if you have them.
