Long-term trend
UK: Moderate decline
Farmland: Rapid decline

Status summary
Like those of Song Thrush and Blackbird, Mistle Thrush populations have declined significantly since the mid-1970s, especially on farmland, but both CBC and particularly BBC data suggest that the decline may now have ceased. There have been no strong trends in breeding performance and the decline is likely to have been driven by reduced annual survival (Siriwardena et al. 1998).
