Business Development Manager
James represents the commercial activities of BTO and is responsible for the management of our commercial contract portfolio. His duties include supporting staff with the delivery of existing projects, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and identifying new markets which can benefit from our consultancy and biodiversity services. He is involved in the development of the strategic direction of the business model and works closely with both the Leadership and Communications teams to promote greater awareness of BTO’s unique commercial offering.
Interests & ResponsibilitiesBefore joining the BTO, James held a number of business development posts with organisations in a variety of sectors including museums, higher education, art heritage and information technology services. In these roles, he delivered multi-stakeholder projects and managed long-term relationships with key account holders. He strongly believes in the importance of collaborative working as a tool to communicate both the impact of charitable mission and the benefit such work offers to consumers.
