Garden BirdWatch Development Officer

Role

Claire works to promote he BTO Garden BirdWatch Survey and the findings that come from it.  She is also the organiser of the Garden Bird Feeding Survey.

Qualifications

MSc Applied Ecology, Imperial College London, 2016
BSc (Hons) Biodiversity and Conservation, Birkbeck University, 2014

Interests & Responsibilities

Claire's interests lie in applied ecological research, and she is interested in how we manage garden habitats, and the impact of this management on birds and other garden wildlife.

Claire is currently the co-editor of the quarterly magazine Bird Table, writes monthly e-newsletters, and manages the social media accounts for the survey.  She also leads a team of volunteer Ambassadors across the UK, to locally promote BTO Garden BirdWatch.  She also looks after the Garden Bird Feeding Survey, and writes a report on the survey annually.
