The Breeding Birds of Cleveland: 1999-2006

A beautifully produced local atlas, showing the wide array of habitats in this corner of north-eastern England. Perhaps many are aware of the coastal and urban/industrialised areas, but there is also farmland, upland and woodlands. Each species is accompanied with a map of the area, showing dots for presence, but dot size giving abundance information at the same time. The base map is very useful, giving locations of the rivers, urban areas, woodlands and higher ground making interpretation more straightforward.
