Siskins on the move

Whilst American shorebirds have dominated the rare bird news in recent days, a far more familiar species has also been hitting the headlines. A record count of 2,129 Siskins passed southwest over Carnoustie, Angus on 7 September and this has been mirrored by a relatively early increase in the Siskin reporting rate (based on the proportion of your complete lists that include Siskin).
