Abstract from BTO Research Report No. 445: N.H.K. Burton, S.J.
Holloway, R.M. Thewlis, N. Carter & M.M. Rehfisch (2006) INTRODUCTION This report presents the baseline description of the avifauna occurring in the area of the onshore infrastructure of the proposed Greater Gabbard Offshore Wind Farm and also an impact assessment of these works. The study reports on onshore surveys covering areas that included the beach at Sizewell where cables would come ashore, fields along the proposed cable route and the proposed sub-station location. Field data used in the assessment were collected over two years, 2005 and 2006. The work has been undertaken by the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO).
