Bird Club Questionnaire

Following on from the National Bird Club Forum a number of bird clubs are keen to follow in the footsteps of the Oxford Ornithological Society and to conduct a survey of their own members' needs and expectations. Oxford's willingness to 'listen' and act on the results of a member questionnaire it sent out is testimony to the continued success in membership growth of the Society.

With OOS's support and help, the BTO have taken their questionnaire and modified it to enable all other bird clubs to use this to canvass their members, should they wish to. By using a standardised questionnaire like this means that the results from different bird clubs can be compared nationally. Such information could be of great benefit to the Bird Clubs generally, and of course to other national bodies working in conservation since it will give them a much clearer insight into the 'make-up' and workings of the bird clubs.

The questionnaire is downloadable in two formats - as a .pdf file and as an Excel spreasheet. The latter can be modified to include headers, footers, etc, and edited. It can be completed by the member in electronic format and returned through electronic mail. The .pdf file cannot be altered but may be more appropriate for your members who prefer to print off forms and fill them out by hand.
