Display problems and web browser compatibility

If you experience problems viewing the Migration Watch web pages you may need to upgrade your web browser or change your screen resolution. There are many different web browsers available and they vary in the extent to which they implement standards for the presentation of web pages.

The Migration Watch web pages work fully with Netscape 6.1 and with Internet Explorer 5.0 and above. If you are currently using an older version of one of these web browsers we recommend that you upgrade it so that you can get the most out of the Migration Watch pages and other web sites.

The Migration Watch web pages are best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. A resolution of 800 x 600 pixels will show most of the material well.

Known browser problems

We are currently aware of the following problems with specific browsers.

The drop down menus do not work with Netscape 4.5 (Netscape Communicator).

Page formatting problems experienced with AOL browser.

Formatting of tables does not work well with Opera 6.01. Other aspects of the site can be viewed satisfactorily with this browser.

If you are having a problem viewing this site with a browser that is not mentioned above please email web.support@bto.org. We are keen to make such information available to other users. However, it is unlikely that we will be able to make the site work with some older browsers. If you are unable to view the Migration Watch site with your current browser we recommend upgrading to one of the versions listed above.
