ABOUT GARDEN BIRDS

Through its two garden-based surveys (BTO/CJ Garden BirdWatch and the Garden Bird Feeding Survey) the BTO collects information on how birds use gardens and on how this use changes over time. Gardens are great places in which to watch birds and there are plenty of opportunities to find out more about bird behaviour and ecology by watching what happens in your garden. The links in the following table will take you to other pages on the BTO Website where you can find out more about individual bird species and how to identify them.
