The Garden BirdWatch Project
Promoting Garden BirdWatch
From the large number
of enquiries that the GBW Team receive each week, it is clear that
many people would welcome the opportunity to get involved in the
project and that the only thing preventing them from doing so earlier
is that they were not aware of the project. Promotion of Garden
BirdWatch is important and we try all sorts of different approaches
to let people know about the project. These include:
 |
|
Garden BirdWatch Postcards
- These postcards provide a small amount of information on the
GBW project and allow people to write of for an enquiry pack
containing further information. They are ideal to leave at libraries,
information centres and garden centres. If you would to be sent
a set of postcards to distribute in this way then please contact
the gbw team. |

Garden BirdWatch Leaflets
- The Garden BirdWatch leaflet provides more detail about Garden
BirdWatch than the postcards and also includes a GBW Registration
Form so that people can join the project. Like the postcards,
they are ideal to leave at libraries, information centres and
garden centres. If you would to be sent a set of leaflets to
distribute in this way then please contact the gbw
team. |

Talks, Shows and events
- The Garden BirdWatch team regularly attend birdwatching shows,
regional conferences and other events to promote the project.
This is a great way of meeting people and introducing them to
Garden BirdWatch and the work of the BTO. The Garden BirdWatch
Organiser gives talks to various audiences on garden birds,
bird gardening and the Garden BirdWatch project. For information
on forthcoming events and talks click here.
