Watching garden birds

Watching the birds in your garden can be extremely rewarding. Not only can you observe a range of species but you can also witness some incredible behaviour. For many people, gardens may be the only real contact with wild birds and animals. Because of this, gardens and the wildlife they attract, have a tremendous potential to educate, thrill and enthrall people.

Many garden birdwatchers not only enjoy watching the birds that visit their gardens, they also enjoy making notes about what they see. If this is done in a systematic way, as in the BTO Garden BirdWatch, they this information has a tremendous value for science and conservation. If you watch the birds in your garden, why not consider joining the 1,000s of other people who participate in the BTO Garden BirdWatch. To find out more click here.
