I am principally responsible for undertaking research contracts examining the causes of changes in the abundance of waterbirds.

BSc (Hons) Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia, 1994-1999
PhD Biodiversity conservation of East African wetlands, University of East Anglia, 2001-2005
Research Interests/Responsibilities
My post entails undertaking a fairly broad spectrum of short-term research projects. Recent work includes, examining the causes of diving duck declines in Northern Ireland, producing an advisory strategy for DEFRA to allow the effects of climate change to be incorporated into wetland conservation policy and publication of the online database detailing waterbird population changes in the UK’s protected areas.
